By joining the Dear Baby Club, you make it our responsibility to assign to you a dedicated Midwife who can answer any questions or concerns you may have during the pregnancy. We also can then support you with keeping attention on the “admin” aspects of this period, enabling you to focus on the dozens of tasks on your to-do list. Let us take on your baby's welfare in-utero, and you do what you must: look after yourself to the best of your ability. The Dear Baby Programme is made up of the following elements:

Your Birth Plan

At any point in your later stages of pregnancy, a time may come to make a decision that you might not feel up to making on the spur of the moment, perhaps simply because it has not come up previously. A birth plan contains both the general spirit of your birthing wishes, as well as more specific items relating to your preferences. Making the plan beforehand allows us to look after your baby and yourself according to your values and your choices.

Early Childhood Development

ECD is the holistic science that takes the view that your baby learns and develops both physically and psychologically from the time of pregnancy. These learnings, or developments shape your baby's personality and physicality with permanent impacts. Thus nutrition, stimulation and health care need to combine from early on in pregnancy, and run right through childhood. In conjunction with the Rotary Club of Walvis Bay, we are proud to present you with informative materials, as well as personalized attention with regard to Early Childhood Development.
