About Medixx

During April 2007, Erongo Medical Services secured the services of a resident Occupational Health Practitioner, for the establishment of a long-overdue Occupational Health Practice at Walvis Bay Medipark. This led to the formation of Medixx Occupational Health Services (Pty) Ltd.

Health and the environment are inextricably linked and the working environment may affect human health adversely. As medical doctors (Medics) we firmly believe that all stakeholders must jointly accept responsibility for the health and well being of the workforce. We listen, facilitate and offer practical solutions to both management and the workforce.

The main focus of Medixx is to identify vulnerable individuals, to keep the" healthy worker healthy", and to identify and treat environmentally induced diseases as soon as possible.

We are inspired by the father of occupational medicine, Bernardino Ramazzini (1633 - 1714), who said: 'Medicine like law should make a contribution to the well being of workers and see to it that so far as possible they should exercise their callings without harm'
